TVA and STEMC offer a wide variety of services to help companies identify energy solutions that generate savings and increase profit.

These services include the following:

Power Analysis

  • Power quality – Power studies can address voltage problems originating inside or outside your facility that adversely affect operations.
  • Metering – Low power factor means that electricity is being used inefficiently at your facility. We offer temporary metering to assess the problem and make recommendations to correct it.
  • Demand-side management – We will make recommendations on managing peak demand based on monitoring and testing of your electrical systems.

Energy Services

  • HVAC – We can perform studies of your heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems and make recommendations on the best type and size of system for your facility.
  • Lighting – Lighting experts will analyze your indoor or outdoor lighting needs and make recommendations based on energy efficiency, safety, and other factors.
  • Energy-Efficiency Improvements and Predictive Maintenance
  • Energy audits – We can conduct a general survey of your power use patterns and recommend energy management opportunities, processes, and improvements.
  • Infrared scans – These studies are performed to detect hot spots in electrical equipment or heating and cooling losses.
  • Ultrasonic testing – We can indentify costly compressed air leaks in your equipment.

Energy LibraryOnline Energy Efficiency Library

The online energy efficiency library is offered by TVA and STEMC as a technical resource tool. It is an extensive encyclopedic resource of energy use and equipment covering all common building and business types and the related technologies.

Understanding DemandUnderstanding Demand

Demand charges can be very confusing to the member . The online “understanding demand” module provides details on how equipment use can affect a facilities demand during each hour of the day. The module offers an intuitive review of how and when most facilities typically use energy, and some suggestions about how you can save the most money on your bills.

Comercial Energy calculatorCommercial Energy Calculator

The Commercial Energy Calculator provides estimates of energy usage and costs based on your inputs. It also presents a comparison of three efficiency levels for each calculation.

Energy Depot® for Business

Energy Depot for Business is a set of online tools and resources to help you better understand and manage your business energy use and costs. Energy Depot is your one-stop resource for energy information.  You can use Energy Depot to:

  • Receive a personalized Business Energy Profile (audit) report online with an estimate of your energy costs for each business energy system or appliance group
  • Learn specific things you can do to reduce your business’s energy use and how much you can save
  • Calculate the simple payback period for recommended energy efficiency measures
  • Consult the Energy Library to answer your energy questions

The energy efficiency tips provided are suggested ways you and your company can save money and many of them are common sense suggestion that will require little to no money to implement.

Preferred Partners Network

The Preferred Partners Network (PPN) is a master list of trade allies and energy services companies. These partners are qualified to supply technologies and equipment that deliver high-quality energy efficiency and demand response results.

Business Incentive Application Package

The Business Incentive Application Package includes pre and post measurement forms required for all jobs. The participant must complete this application for all jobs prior to installation and should be filled out by the Customer and the Trade Ally. Once the application is completed it must be returned to STEMC for processing. The project should not be installed until the application is processed, STEMC will contact you once the application is approved.

Fast Cash Incentive-Small Business Customers

The Fast Cash Incentive is a streamlined application enhancement of the Commercial and Industrial Efficiency Advice and Incentives Programs.  The streamlined process reduces the customer’s time and effort required to receive an incentive. Facility must have a demand less than or equal to 50 kW.
