Southwest Tennessee Electric partners with TVA to offer a comprehensive array of industrial services available at no cost to our members. Southwest Tennessee Electric is excited about and committed to the development of our region of the Tennessee Valley . The board of directors and management of Southwest recognize and appreciate the lasting impact that job creation and expansion can have on the economic vitality of our service area.
The rates in the Tennessee Valley are some of the lowest in the nation. This is made possible by the network of public power distributors in place here. However, we have not sacrificed reliability for low rates. Over the past three years, TVA has achieved 99.999% reliability. Southwest Tennessee Electric has also made investments in infrastructure and technology improvements that are focused on improving reliability and customer service while keeping costs low.

Additionally, our partnership with TVA brings to the table a comprehensive array of technical support services, all of which are provided to Southwest Tennessee Electric’s industrial customers at no cost. These programs are designed to help companies identify energy solutions that generate savings and increase profit. Such programs include identifying energy efficiency improvements for buildings and equipment, recommending energy-efficient construction guidelines, power quality monitoring and recommending solutions, providing lighting analyses and recommendations, analyzing energy management systems, consulting on HVAC systems and technologies, infrared and ultrasonic testing, and many others.
